About the Journal

The Journal of Philosophy, Culture and Political Science founded in 1993. The founder and publisher of the journal is al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The journal has a developed and approved cover and title pages indicating the University, output data of the issue, ISSN, eISSN, editorial Board, editorial policy, publication ethics, and website. The journal is published 4 times a year.

Journal articles are registered in the CrossRef database and each author's article must be assigned a DOI a digital object identifier that is used to provide citations, links, and access to electronic documents.

The journal is indexed by the Kazakhstan citation database of JSC "National center for state scientific and technical expertise".

The journal is also available in the Scientific electronic library elibrary.ru in open access for readers and included in the analytical database "Russian science citation index".

The editorial board of the journal includes leading Kazakhstan and foreign scientists.

The journal follows the policy of information openness and accessibility of the authors' publications, articles are posted on the journal website in three languages ​​in full-text access.

  • Goals and objectives of the journal

The goals of the journal are to assist in the development of fundamental and applied scientific research, to create conditions for the exchange of scientific information in the international scientific information space, to highlight the results of modern scientific research in the field of Philosophy, Culturology and Political Science, contributing to the improvement of the scientific and educational level of specialists.

The tasks of the journal:

- publication of original scientific works containing new results in philosophy, cultural studies and political science;

- drawing attention to the most relevant, promising and interesting areas;

- promoting the formation of open scientific polemics in order to improve the quality of scientific research, effectiveness and examination of scientific works;

- ensuring a high scientific level of peer review;

- attraction of highly qualified domestic and foreign authors;

- publication of scientific reviews corresponding to the subject of the journal.

  • Thematic directions of the journal

The Journal of Philosophy, Culture and Political Science publishes works on related issues of philosophy, cultural studies and political science.

The journal materials cover the following thematic areas:

  • Philosophy: ancient, medieval philosophy, philosophy of the Renaissance and modern times, philosophical trends of the twentieth century, Russian philosophy, modern philosophy.
  • Cultural studies: socio-historical (localities of cultures, their typology, division of culture into periods during its existence), naturalistic (a person as a cultural being), sociological (culture is based on social organization and nature), symbolic/structural (all cultural processes as a result of communication), psychological direction (the consciousness of the people, expressed in myths, language, customs, religion, art, and as the consciousness of an individual).
  • Political science: modern concepts of the history of political science; political sciences: new paradigms; Theoretical and instrumental capabilities of political science; world political science community; globalization and their impact on political processes, institutions of democracy in the era of globalization.

  * The author(s) of the manuscript approved for publication in the journal are obliged to pay for publication in accordance with the approved price list for publication in the scientific journals of al-Farabi KazNU. According to the approved price list, payment for publication is 500 tenge per page. In exceptional cases, if there are other sources of funding for the journal series, authors may be fully or partially exempted from payment for the publication of the article.
