In the context of the transformation of the political institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the peculiarity of the participation of political parties in elections: a new experience (Majilis elections 2023.19.03.)

Abstract

In the current complex political transformation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the structure of all political institutions is being reformed and updated. This process allows the political structure of Kazakhstan to work in an inclusive environment. That is, the ongoing changes evaluate the shortcomings in the political direction of Kazakhstan since the years of independence and determine the possibilities of its future development. Political transformation has entered a new stage due to the referendum held in 2022. The main changes in the constitution were related to the electoral system. It is known that the changes related to the formation and management of political power are necessarily related to the activity of political parties. This is because political parties are an important institution that monitors the decisions of the government in civil society. Their activities cannot be considered separately from the election process. Therefore, this article analyzes the new experience of the political parties that participated in the last Majlis elections due to the new changes. Based on the legislative and legal reforms related to political institutions, it is important to analyze and scientifically evaluate the election of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which has its own advantages and disadvantages, based on the legislative and legal reforms. For this purpose, statistical data of the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan, monitoring of social networks, and content of the websites of political parties were conducted to analyze and evaluate the course and results of Majilis elections, which are being conducted in the context of the transformation of political institutions in the development of society. The result of the obtained research made it possible to draw a scientific conclusion. Elections that have been held since the independence of Kazakhstan have been identified and their own experience has been shown.
