The specifics of creating film music

Abstract

This article discusses the main aspects of writing a musical setting for films. The author of written below article raises the issues about specific process of creating of cinema music by composers and about the difficulties that they face in this form of musical creativity due to many factors. The article concerns the problem of professional competence of cinema music’s composer, as well as a special type of thinking and the capacity for empathy, psychologism typical for this kind of creative activity. This article considers the problem of the phenomenon of film music as an essential constituent elements of the movie, as well as an absolute rethinking of the importance of composer’s work in the creation of films and documentaries. The article also contains a number of methodic recommendations for creating music for screen art forms.
