The relevance of al-Farabi’s social and ethical viewsin the modern world

Abstract

At the end of the twentieth century, the world recognized and spoke about the globalization of human unity, universal interconnection and interdependence of nations and peoples. More and more we are using concepts such as the global community, global culture, values of universalism. It is logical toask the question: What is globalization? Globalization is a kind of «world model», which means socio-economic, cultural and political realities of our time. But do we keep our moral values? How to be faster and better? Is it possible to be perfect? What criteria we should use to be perfect?
Heritage of Al-Farabi was and remains relevant in the modern era of globalization.
In this article, we considered the value and importance of the virtuous city, virtuous religion and a perfect man in the writings of al-Farabi and also in modern life with its specific development in global aspect.
