The conceptions of state policy in the sphere of religion (experiences of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan)

Abstract

 

The article examines the conceptual basis of governmental policy in the sphere of religion Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan within the framework of legislative and religious education; experience against religious extremism and terrorism, as well as cooperation between the state and religious organizations. Taking into account the historical experience and using the method of comparative studies, the author analyzes the distinctive features of two Central Asian states in terms of state and religions interaction, as well as their secular models. This study provides valuable scientific findings that comprehends various religious aspects in connection with the governmental policy of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan.

And also, it sums up the dynamics of state–religion relations within legislative and religious education, and institutional development stages in the modern context and helps to assess the governmental policy in the sphere of religion in two countries.
