Relationship body and spirit: historical and philosophical analysis
Abstract
The article deals with the phenomenon of interrelations and interdependence of spiritual and corporal in the history of modern philosophy and philosophical concepts. Search human nature involves the inevitable reference to the question of the relation of it bodily and spiritual, biological and cultural, material and reasonable. The answer to this question, in turn, determines not only the content of anthropological exercise, but also can be extended to the ontological level. The duality of body and spiritual in man beyond the empirical evidence, since the socio-philosophical reflection of the soul as an attribute of human existence initially implemented in the religious and mystical experience of ancient man. On the other hand, for all the obvious physical identity of a person as a subject of natural and social processes, axiological value of corporeal being is almost always correlated with the image and value of the soul, spirit, mind and features attributed to them.
A brief historical-philosophical analysis presented in the article shows that the different concepts from antiquity to the present day, as well as in their respective religious and cultural practices accentuation of the value of spirituality ranges from giving it an absolute value and as a consequence derogatory attitude to corporal aspect of the individual human being to deny the existence of the soul or the approval of its material nature.
