The concept of secularism in the multiconfessional space

Abstract

In the article the author analyzes the definition of secularism concept from the standpoint of historical and philosophical, theological and sociological study of the specificity of the discourse. The paper discusses the theory of the leading scientists in the field of sociology and philosophy, giving his assessment of the process of secularization of modern society. The author attempts to define the understanding of secularism, which in the conditions of Kazakhstan’s multi-ethnic and multi-confessional society is secular, the example of the type of secularism indifferent model inherent in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
