Abstract

Based on a comprehensive analysis of artistic (musical, museum, folklore), ethnographic, scientific and theoretical sources, as well as performance traditions, the article examines the peculiarities of the listener's perception of traditional Kazakh instrumental music. Special attention is paid to the meaningful and emotionally expressive characteristics of the folk kuis, including the "anyz-kyui" (kүui-legends). Kazakh instrumental music in the form of "kyui" is interpreted as a multidimensional cultural and philosophical category representing various levels of human existence – physical, emotional, spiritual and moral. The purpose of the research is to study the peculiarities of perception of Kazakh instrumental music, revealing it as a carrier of cultural, emotional and ideological meanings. The novelty lies in the representation of "ainz-kyui" as a multidimensional cultural and philosophical category, the influence on the conscious and unconscious levels, as well as the identification of archetypal images in them.

Research methodology: a comprehensive interdisciplinary approach in the structural and semantic analysis of expressive means of musical material (rhythm, intonation, sound organization); hermeneutic and interpretative analysis of kyui as a means of translating emotional states, worldview and value attitudes, as well as a presentation of life situations and inner experience.

A special emphasis is placed on the analysis of archetypal images recorded in kyui legends ("ainiz-kyui"), which reveal universal semantic structures – nomadism as an existential model of being, animate nature, motives of trials and transformations, etc. We also note that the research is aimed at identifying cultural codes of traditional kyui music through analysis of its rhythmointonal structure, interpreted as a specific sound model of the world. Thus, the concept of "anyz-kyui" is considered as a cultural universal, the core of the Kazakh oral tradition, accumulating collective experience and forms of artistic understanding of reality.

Keywords: traditional music, "anyz-kyui", cultural universals, sound representation, mythological thinking, symbols, archetypes.
